Tell me is it worse to mourn a lover lost Or to watch his spark dim, the sun's final toss Beneath the summer sky A serene decay As light surrenders to the end of day
Could you bear to watch the man you love Become a lethal weapon Armour clinging from head to toe Gleaming cruelly, possessively Shielding him as he shields his wounded heart From the tragedy that tore us both apart And fuelled the desire to be reunited
Would it be different, do you think If he had disfavoured his fate Not submitted to his heroic claim Would my broken heart still ache?
